Witnessing the Olympic Torch Run
Posted by Susan Turnbull February 12, 2010 in Blog
Early this morning I joined thousands of other people lining the streets of Vancouver and watched a portion of the final stage of the Olympic torch run. How lucky am I? The flame has passed hand to hand for 45,000 km over the past few months all across Canada. It has been transported in over 100 different ways, including by dog sled, logging truck, mine clearing vehicle, Newfoundland dory, canoe, bull (really), surfboard, etc. and cheered all the way. What a treat to see a slice of that story today.
