I will never forget the day I read about the ancient practice of writing an ethical will. My reaction was immediate: this is so simple, beautiful and valuable. Here is a time honored and straightforward way to complement the cold legalese of standard wills and trusts with values and personal ‘voice.’

A writer by trade, I was personally and professionally inspired to re-introduce the ethical will and make the process of creating one enjoyable, relevant and straightforward. Over time my expertise  grew to include letters of wishes to trustees and expressions of donor intent. Like the ethical will, these documents are non-binding, and make room for expression of emotions, values, and life experiences.
