Researcher and writer Eric Weiner took a close look at the degree to which clients of financial planners are being introduced to the concept of the ethical will – and what kind of difference it made. His methodology and his conclusions were published in September/October FPA Practice Management. In summary, he found that the topic fit well into discussions around personal values, as related to estate and legacy planning.  While ethical wills would not appeal to every client Weiner said, the rewards for advisors whose clients were responsive was huge, ” Once they have completed this process with you, they aren’t going anywhere else,” a practitioner in Florida was quoted to say.
